April is one of our absolute favorite months here at SouL Dance Studio, and this year it is brimming with exciting competitions, big announcements, and of course, dancing with you. Let's get into it!

🥇 Suncoast Dancesport Classic – Scott Brookes Shines Again! 🥇

This past weekend, SouL Dance Studio headed to the Suncoast Dancesport Classic — and Scott Brookes reminded everyone exactly why he is one of the most exciting competitors on the Florida ballroom circuit right now.

We are absolutely thrilled to share that Scott took home the Top Solo Award at this year's Suncoast Dancesport Classic! If that wasn't enough, he also earned 1st Place and 2nd Place in six different multi-dance championship events — remarkable double-podium performances that had the whole ballroom buzzing.

Scott, this is a testament to the extraordinary dedication you bring to every single lesson, every rehearsal, and every moment on that floor. We could not be more proud of you! 🏆🏆

A huge thank you as well to everyone who came out to cheer Scott and Sanda on. Your energy and support mean everything to this family. This is what SouL Dance is all about!

Upcoming: Diva Dancesport Challenge – April 4th

Kicking April off with a bang! SouL Dance Studio will be at the Diva Dancesport Challenge on Saturday, April 4th. This is a wonderful opportunity to watch our dancers bring everything they've been working on to the floor. Come cheer us on and experience the electric energy of a live ballroom competition!

Easter Sunday – Studio Closed – April 5th

Wishing our entire SouL Dance family a joyful and restful Happy Easter! The studio will be closed on Sunday, April 5th in celebration of the holiday. We hope you spend the day with family and loved ones—and maybe steal a waltz or two in the backyard.

San Diego Ballroom Beach Bash – April 8th–12th

From April 8th through April 12th, we are promoting the San Diego Ballroom Beach Bash! This nationally celebrated competition is one of the most vibrant events on the ballroom calendar—gorgeous dancing, incredible talent, and plenty of beach energy.

💃 April Group Classes 💃

When the studio is open this April, we will be continuing our Monday evening workshops led by your instructors Sanda & Kakha! This month we are refreshing the lineup with Waltz group class added to the mix:

📅 Level 1 Adult Ballet Every Monday at 6:00 PM

📅 All Levels Waltz Every Monday at 7:00 PM

📅 Level 1 East Coast Swing Every Monday at 7:45 PM

No partner needed—just bring your passion and your favorite dancing shoes! All three classes are beginner-friendly and welcoming to dancers at every stage of their journey.

Private Lessons Available

Private lessons are available by appointment, Monday through Saturday throughout April—with the exception of the closed week of April 19th–25th. Whether you are preparing for a competition, fine-tuning choreography for a special occasion, or simply want to accelerate your growth, nothing beats the personalized attention of a private session.

🌴 Florida Spring Classic – April 19th 🌴

One of the most anticipated events of the spring season is almost here! SouL Dance Studio is promoting the Florida Spring Classic on Sunday, April 19th, held at the stunning DoubleTree by Hilton at Universal Orlando in Orlando, FL. This is a premier event on the Florida ballroom circuit and we are ready to make our presence known. Let us know if you'd like to participate!

We have been waiting to share this and we simply cannot contain it any longer—SouL in Motion is BACK!

After the breathtaking debut at Cook Theatre last October, the response from our community was overwhelmingly clear: we need to do this again. So we listened.
